VALD Technology
Our clinic offers ForceDecks, Dual Force Plate System for analysing strength and imbalance.
What are ForceDecks and who do they benefit?
Evaluate key performance indicators, muscle imbalances, and injury rehabilitation progress. VALD ForceDecks can measure and assess your strength, side-to-side performance, and movement quality through various exercises. Utilised by elite sporting teams, including many in the English Premier League, Premiership Rugby, NBA/NFL, and across all professional sports in its native Australia.
VALD has expanded into performance and research centres, with our clinic investing in VALD force plates and VALD dynamo technology to make it available to you. Once your assessment is complete, the system will generate a report on how your body moves, and we will use this information to work with you to track progress and key milestones to reach your goals, whether that be pain-free, performance, or return to sport/daily activities.
Why should I use VALD Technology?
For rehab and minimising injury risk. Using the data from a ForceDecks assessment we design better rehabilitation, training, and management programmes. As soon as you complete an assessment, one-click automatically generates a complete test report. The data is displayed in easy-to-interpret graphs for your review - making sure you’re on the right track to achieving your goal.
How do the ForceDecks help my recovery?
The ForceDecks gather a complete assessment of strength, power and balance. Involving the movements you need to perform in daily activities or sports, including squats, lunges, deadlifts, jumps, hops, push-ups, and an array of balance exercises. See your results instantly captured and analysed to allow your practitioner to gather objective data to make decisions based on your performance, rehab programme or injury prevention.

People with injuries pre-op and post-op.
Athletes looking to improve their strength and prevent injuries. Exercise plan for older individuals to improve balance and strength and prevent falls.
How long does it take?
Depending on the tests, it can take between 2 and 30 minutes per test. We allow 60 minutes for a full
Is this only for assessments?
No, this can also be very useful for rehabilitation and training.
Our clinic uses the VALD DynaMo Handheld Strength & range of motion (ROM) system that performs more than 300 strength and ROM tests.
What is a DynaMo and who does it benefit?
The DynaMo uses Near-Field Communication technology to wirelessly detect a range of five quick-release Smart Attachments. Including a palm pad, a flat pad, a curved pad and tension links – all connecting to the device automatically. The attachments allow us to perform a wide range of push and pull tests, while DynaMo’s in-built movement detection technology also allows us to measure range of motion. An adjustable Grip Strength Attachment transforms the device into a highly versatile Hand Dynamometer.
The DynaMo allows us to target specific areas, including EVERY major joint in the body and change tests by attachment.
What you can measure with the VALD DynaMo:
Strength: DynaMo measures force through standard push tests, with tension links also allowing pull tests to be performed.
Range of Motion: DynaMo is an inclinometer, with industry-leading technology used to measure range of motion.
Grip Strength: An adjustable Grip Strength Attachment transforms DynaMo into a portable handheld device that accurately measured grip strength.
Why should I use the DynaMo?
By utilising an all-in-one device that not only objectively measures strength and range of motion, but is also capable of measuring grip strength, we save time on taking clinical notes by hand that we reinvest into our clients’ care.
More importantly, this method of assessment provides quantitative, accurate and transparent data. We provide facts, not opinions.
How does it work?
DynaMo is a portable, fully wireless device that captures objective data from more than 300 strength and range of motion tests. DynaMo’s custom-built mobile app is fully integrated with VALD Hub, meaning your data is captured digitally and stored securely against your own personal profile for longitudinal analysis.
